Whistler: Snow, Ice, Snowball, Gondola, Shopping, Family, and FIRE!
For Christmas this year my sister surprised my mom and I with a vacation to Whistler - Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada! We left on Sunday February 25th, 2018 and returned on Tuesday February 27th, 2018! During the time in Whistler we had lot's of fun and enjoyed the beautiful scenery snow!
The vacation included shopping at the stores in Whistler such as Cool as a Moose (so Canadian, but totally awesome!), visited the Whistler Olympic Village from the Vancouver 2010 Olympics! Got a picture in front of the Olympic Rings with my mom and sister!
My sister and I (mainly my sister) surprised our mom with the Fire and Ice show (on February 25th, 2018)! Which was filled with fire, skiers, and snowboarders! At the end of the show there was a small firework show!
Then on the Monday we went on the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola from Whistler Mountain to Blackcomb Mountain to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and everything that is offered at the top! Including a really good burger! On the way down we caught the one of the Gondola's with the glass floor! It made it feel like I was a drone! However, when we were about a minute away from the bottom the Gondola stopped for about 5 minutes. We still don't really know why we stopped but, hey, we made it back!!
After the PEAK 2 PEAK my sister and I (again mainly my. sister) surprised our mom with the Blackcomb Sleigh-rides! Which is where she was in glory!! It was an amazing experience!
Then as we were heading back to the Hostel it began to snow! By the time it we went to bed and woke up the next morning there was a good six to ten inches of fresh new snow!
The most memorable moment of the whole vacation was when my mom surprised me by throwing a snowball at me!!
